Reclaiming the Arts
Our desire is to explore the relationship between the arts and our Christian faith. We believe that expressing the beauty and pain of life is a natural and valuable part of humanity. Jesus taught that Christians were not called out of the world, but called to engage with the world and show the world glimpses of a restored and renewed world to come. Our community believes that art is an important way to express that future world in the present.
We wish to help all, either those who are discerning a call and vocation to the arts or those who seek to make art a part of their life, engage with Christianity and art. We work this out in several ways: through periodic meetings with other artists where we discuss life, faith and art; through using art as a means of worship at our Sunday gatherings; and by interacting with the Boston art world.
