Our teaching and preaching aims to be rooted in the Bible, God-centered, and focused upon the central, saving work of God in Jesus. As we maintain this God-centeredness, we don’t lose touch with reality but instead we find that the issues and concerns that we face as human beings are addressed. We are enabled to see the God, the world, our neighbors, and ourselves in the proper way. This leads to transformation as our minds are renewed (Romans 12.2) and we are repeatedly called to turn from our ways and embrace the ways of God. 

While we affirm the importance of community, we would never want to pit community and teaching against one another. Rather, we understand true Christian community to be focused upon and devoted to the “apostles’ teaching,” as was the case in the earliest church (Act 2.42).
