Friday: Psalm 3-4; Joel 2.1-11; John 1.35-51

From: Bobby Riegel

There's not a correlation that I see between these passages, so let's break them down one by one.

Psalm 3-4
Your classic Psalm chapters in which evil is prevailing and causing a great injustice in the land.

4.2 How long will you love delusions and seek false gods?

A question that is incredibly relevant for the world today, and in our lives, as well. What are you seeking that is a waste of time? What could you do with that time if you stopped seeking that thing?

Joel 2.1-11
Joel is describing the Lord’s army of the end times by comparing it to a locust swarm, that is also mentioned with similar text in Revelation 9.7-8.

If you want a visual of what the analogy of 2.11 "forces are beyond number", check out these video clips from BBC's Planet Earth 2 of "several billion locusts": Clip 1 and Clip 2

John 1.35-51
Jesus adds to his posse Peter, Andrew, Philip, and Nathanael.

1.50 Jesus said, “You believe because I told you I saw you under the fig tree. You will see greater things than that.” He then added, “Very truly I tell you, you will see ‘heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending on the Son of Man.”

This makes me wonder, what are the small things are we so easily impressed by in our life? And, what is God working on in our lives that we don't even know about yet?
