Thursday: Psalm 117-118; Numbers 27.12-23; Hebrews 11.32-40

From: Emily Hood

A prayer for Thursday:

Let everyone say, "His steadfast love endures forever."
Let the wounded, distressed, alienated, and lost say, "His steadfast love endures forever."
Let the sick, poor, weak, and weary say, "His steadfast love endures forever."
Let the wise, the privileged, the princes, and the exalted say, "HIs steadfast love endures forever."

Holy Father, You are our strength and our song! We have been abandoned, attacked, crushed by grief, but you have sustained us. We have wandered, disobeyed, and forgotten, but you have called us your sons and daughters. We stand in awe of your mercy and grace. Praise be to you, Heavenly Father! You shine your light through broken vessels. You build your mighty, glorious, eternal kingdom from weak and cracked stones. This is the day that you have made, we will rejoice and be glad in it. We give thanks to you, Lord, for you are good. Your steadfast love endures forever.

Amen.

I live in Roslindale with my husband Jason and four "Hoodlums." I have been asked, "You're not from around here, are you?" at least twice a week since we moved to Boston a little over a year ago.
