Post-Application Process

To ensure a thorough and fair selection process, we follow these steps:

  1. Application Review: All applications are carefully reviewed by our selection committee to assess alignment with the job’s qualifications and requirements.

  2. Initial Interviews: Shortlisted candidates will be invited for initial interviews via phone, Zoom, or in person for local candidates

  3. Background Checks: Candidates moving forward will undergo background checks with their consent and in accordance with applicable laws.

  4. In-Person Interviews: Successful candidates will be invited for deeper discussions on their competencies and vision for the role.

  5. Reference Checks: We conduct reference checks to further understand the candidates’ past performance and achievements.

  6. Performance Tasks and Working Genius Assessment: Selected candidates will be asked to complete specific performance tasks, simulating real-world challenges they might face in the role. This helps us assess practical skills and problem-solving abilities. In addition, candidates will undergo the Working Genius Assessment to identify their strengths, providing insights into their problem-solving abilities and potential contributions to our team.

  7. Final Recommendation and Approval: The Rector will present the final candidate to the Parish Council for approval and to set compensation.

  8. Offer: The Rector will extend a formal offer to the candidate.

  9. Announcement: The successful candidate will be formally announced to the congregation.

This comprehensive process respects candidates' time and efforts, focusing on qualifications, experience, and the potential for a meaningful contribution to our church community.
