Youth Ministry at CotC
The Youth Ministry at CotC exists to accompany youth in a coming of age season to see the beauty, size, and power of the Gospel and to learn what it means to follow Jesus in every arc of life
Our youth are a vital part of our church and we hope they will participate in the full life of the church during their time in middle and high school. On Sunday mornings, they take part in the liturgy and listen to teaching alongside the rest of the congregation. We also recognize the needs of youth will be different because of the unique phase of life that is adolescence, meaning it is appropriate to give additional support, separate ministry environments, and peer-to-peer interactions.

Every other Sunday evening, the youth ministry gathers for games, dinner, conversation, and Bible study. This time is focused on helping young people understand and take ownership of faith for themselves, while feeling welcomed into the family of God. For the full schedule, please contact us.

On weeks when the youth group does not meet in the evening, the youth ministry meets between services. Once a month, these meetings are focused on equipping youth as leaders in the ministry and in the church. The additional meetings are focused on fellowship and connection.

Youth Confirmation at CotC is geared towards high school students, though there is not a set age when youth go through the confirmation process. Confirmation classes are offered every two to three years, and consist of ten weeks of shared learning and practicing spiritual disciplines together.

Youth are invited to join us for our two annual overnight events: the youth retreat every spring and Camp Booyah every summer. These are opportunities for young people to step outside of their normal routines and receive the Gospel. Youth who are not yet a part of CotC are also welcome to join for these events! Please contact us for registration information.
